COLLECTING AND USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We collect the following information during the use of our app;
Your names (or names of traveller, if you are buying a ticket for someone else). This will be included on the ticket.
The phone number associated with the mobile money account you will be using to pay for your ticket. This will be used to confirm your payment by comparing it to the number displayed in the payment confirmation message of the mobile money provider you used to pay. This number may also be used to contact you in case there are issues to rectify regarding the transaction, ticket purchase, ticket collection, or ticket delivery.
Phone number of traveler: this number will be used to contact you on WhatsApp to provide you with a picture of your ticket and information about ticket collection and delivery. It is through this number that an agent may contact you via WhatsApp to rectify any possible issues
We will also ask you to specify the source and destination of your trip in order to include the information on your ticket
All the data you provide us will be stored securely in airtable.com databases and be retrieved for you whenever you request a Tranzit receipt, view your booking history. It's retrieved by our agents when confirming your payment and when booking your bus ticket.
Your personal data is neither shared with nor sold to any third parties
PERMISSIONS
Our app requires some special permissions from your device to function optimally. These permissions include;
Phone access: this permission is required in order for our application to initiate calls directly by you tapping a blue highlighted contact phone numbers within the application. It also enables the app to run USSD codes on your phone that simplify the process of you paying for a ticket through your mobile money provider.
Storage: This permission is required to download your Tranzit receipt and store it on your phone for future reference
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
All your data is protected by HTTPS encryption (SSL security)
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not collect any information from children through our application
REQUESTS TO DELETE PERSONAL INFORMATION
Whenever you decide that you would like your personal data deleted from our databases, simply let us know via email, SMS, or call through the details below
